Mundane Miracles

Life has many interesting twists and turns, where you come across myriad people and events. Out of these myriad events and people there are few who leave their foot prints deep within - I call them as my 'Mundane Miracles'. These miracles emerge out of the ordinary people and forgottable events, but within their ordinary demeanour a specialty is hidden which makes them special and unforgottable. How else do you describe that ricksawpuller for whom Rs.5 might mean a lot, but who politely offers to give it up because I got down a few yards before my destination !!!! ...... Or that small paan (betel) shop owner who offered me his wife's only pair of sandals as my sandal broke on the way of my return to the hostel after finishing some work outside the hostel campus late evening. Not only that, he offered to repair my sandals the next morning by the nearby mochi and suggested me to collect it from him anytime during the next day at my convenience from his paan shop !!!! Sure enough, when I visited his shop the next day to return his wife's sanadals and collect mine, the repaired sandals were kept ready for me wrapped in a polyethene .... I consider these people as my 'Mundane Miracles' - so different and unique compared to the urbane, and educated crowd I meet in my daily life ......... just wish to meet more and more of them........

राह चलते कोई मुसाफ़िर अपनो से ज़्यादा अपना लगता है कुछ नहीं तो दो कदम साथ तो चलता है अपने तो ऐसे ही मुंह फेर लेते हैं. जब अपने मुकर जातें हैं और कोई अनजाना सा आप के पास आप के साथ खड़ा होता है शायद उसीको लोग फ़रिश्ता कहते हैं. भगवान को मंदिर में ढूँडने से कहाँ मिलते हैं अपने ही आस पास ढुंडलो या खुद ही की अंदर में झांकलो वोही कोने में भगवान भी है और हैवान भी.
